M&M Peanut butter balls

Happy holidays everyone! I meant to mention that I would probably take a little vacation around Christmas but things got too busy too quick and I forgot to make a post!

However I have a few post coming your way in the next week! YAY!

Lots of baking was done over Christmas but I did not have time to document them as much as I would have liked but I did want to share with you the most popular dessert I made for all the parties!

PEANUT BUTTER M&M BALLS

I made these using wow butter because I don’t eat nuts and I have a few family memembers that are also allergic to peanuts but this recipe can be made with regular peanut butter.

You will need:

1 1/2 cups peanut butter or peanut butter substitute

1/2 cup margarine or butter

2 1/2 cups icing sugar

1 pack m&m

Lots of chocolate chips! I think I used about 4 cups! 2 cups white 2 cups semi sweet

Cocoa and icing sugar to sprinkle on top are optional

How to:

Mix your peanut butter, regular butter, powdered sugar and m&m in a bowl using a silicone spoon. Once all your ingredients are combined your going to want to make about 1 inch balls and place them on a baking sheet with wax paper. Once they are all made (about 30-40 balls depending on the size) you’re going to want to place them in the freezer for 20-30 minutes or until firm.

After 3o minutes, use a double boiler system to melt your chocolate chips. Then using a fork dip your balls in and roll them around until the are covered in chocolate. Then place them back on the baking sheet. Once all your balls are covered put them back in the freezer for 10 minutes.

If you want to make them fancy dust some cocoa and powdered sugar on top.

The white chocolate ones were the most popular and I could eat the entire batch.
